The ones you want are for Banshee, it's a Yamaha quad. To be honest they tend to wear the petals quickly and they're expensive to replace, I think there are better options for your bucks in opening up the cage, decent two stage reeds, and removing the stops.

I personally wouldn't recommend them if its for your 230 Mick. As Mike says they do wear quickly and are more suited to race/revy applications.

I'm back using the Yam one you fitted Al, with dual reeds and no stops, it flies better than ever now ;-)

as anybody used the pyramid reedblock for the banshee (ebay.com... usa)
just like the standard block .... but the sides cut and petals fitted (giving more area)..

what"s the thoughts on cutting the yam blocks sides and fitting petals ?
if the original block as been fettled (one piece reeds fitted .... centre bar removed or just original opened up and steps done... ) this would give more area ..... any thoughts !!!!!!!!!

IMO The money spent on V-Force or pyramid reedvalves could be put to better use on flowing a Yamaha block and fitting decent petals, and you'd probably still be quids in on just a set of petals for the above and save even more on replacements. I learnt this from my own personal experience, some of the new fangled bits nd bobs for Jap bikes just aren't that beneficial on our 50 year old engines.
