hi as title says , ive been building an autovespa conversion for about 2 years on & off , im now at a complete standstill & just cant get the motor ( skipper st4t125) to spark. ive bought all new components stator, regulator, coil, cdi unit & a secondhand wiring loom i even put the motor in a local auto scoot repair place & he couldnt make it spark either ,,,,
any sugestions /advice welcome :? :?

4 stroke ?

the cdi may well have an immobiliser so unless you have the ignition switch ,key and cdi to match it will never run .....pm do an un immobilized version ..about a ton

i spoke to beedspeed today , they do a unimobilised cdi for this motor £170 :lol: my question now is ( forgot to ask while on the phone ) would i be able to use this cdi without an ignition & key & just use a flick switch

if you want a flick swich ....yes :lol:

cheers ricspeed, looks exactly the same , same part number etc but doesnt state if its unimobilised,, the same one on beedspeed site says clearly that it bypasses the imobiliser,, i,ll ring pm tomorow |& se what they sat ( ive only spoke to pm once before & didnt find them very helpfull or polite comsidering i was just about to spend `£400 + )
ill share the info i get & update pics of wiring instalation etc for anyone ellse strugling with this same problem
