I know I've been down this avenue before with the LI, but it's happening again with the GP build.

My gear cables refuse to sit on the headset clamp. Everything is new. Decent cables, which are routed the right way. I taped up the cable ends the make the fit tighter. I even tried silicone sealant. Not well enough.

Why is this happening? It's driving me up the wall.

Bob, I'm sure I've seen some larger ferrules that go on the cable ends. May have been VWP. Quite why this is happening I don't know. Mine fitted snugly

I've no idea why I'm having this problem. Apart from issues with the LI, it's never been a problem for me in the past.

one of the cables on the Special kept popping out, put a vespa top hat /ferrule over the end in the clamp, no problems since. just put it down to wear and tear on a 40+ year old part. some stuff just needs a work-around.
