Evening...

Finally got the scoot on the road, runs well very pleased other than that the carb seems to flood at low revs, say a junction or lights..
when i go to pull off it dies..
but kicks over usually straight away and off i go, very annoying!!!!

delly 30mm brand new carb
120 main
av266
x7 needle mid clip
70 choke
250 float
40 slide
55 pilot which i dropped to a 53 but still having same issue

air and idle screws are set at 1 1/2 turns out ....

been told to check the choke isn't still on when its off but thats been checked... i never touch the choke as it starts fine without it anyway..
i've put a pinhole in the ram air bellow to alleviate any excess petrol so i don't think it could be petrol build up

any help would be super smashing great

I can't help you with the precise jetting on this carb but, if it starts from cold with no choke, I'd say this is a good indicator that you're too rich on your pilot. Also maybe try it without the panels, both open mouthed, and/or with the RamAir straight on the carb. What's your timing set at and have you checked it with a strobe?

Try a 50 slide in it.

and try an AV264 ...and up the main jet to maybe 125 at least,but stick with the 40 slide..

Float height..

Just a bit of an update regarding the problem. i've found the flooding doesn't happen when i pull away with a controlled throttle. but tends to happen if i snap the throttle too quickly.. pilot to big ? ? ?

Tried this what sean said, AV264 from AV266 the main jet was already 125 sorry...

the problem seems to be worse with the smaller atomiser as if its being strangled, when it revs to the end of each gear,

my aim is to get it dynoed eventually.. just can't afford at the mo..
