This winter Im of to upgrade my series 2 150 to a 175 and hopefully will be asking Mick Abbey to tune it abit. Now Im unsure as to what carb to put on it. Can a 26mm dellorto run through the a modified airbox succesfully(I have a TV175 airbox which is alot less restrictive) or would it be best to run a 28mm or 30mm carb. Also will only be running a AF clubman.

We have just done a 175 /190 barrel with mick , running a 25mm dellorto , goes like a rocket and blows 200s into the weeds , theres still more to come but the carb is the major drawback now , 28mm or 30mm to get the most out of the undoubted power that mick can find !! :bouncing:

I remember having a go on CamLams Mugello 186 demonstrator about 6 or 7 years ago and that was a flyer using a PHBH 26 through a drilled airbox and some form of clubman, so yes it should perform ok with that but with a 30 and a scootrs exhaust it might be good for the best part of another 1000 rpm but as Pride says take Mick's advice, he's the man in the know.
