longe range tanks

Going to have to atke the plunge with a long range tank and was looking at as a cheap option that lets me keep it looking original. I expect its indian and will leak like a collinder. Have also heard that tyhey can be a git to fit without scratching the paintwork...Anyone got any feedback good or bad

If not then then im thinking of going for the non polished 13.5 from SSSP for £170 which is a bit of a hit... again anyone got feedback on this tank before i part with my reddies..

Think Dazza had a nightmare with that type of tank..but might be wrong..tell me Syd, why not go for a diablo tank with toolbox in..? easy to fit dont need sealing and lose the straps..our kid had that tank fitted and it was a nightmare to fit..

Your not far away from one of Als tanks there fella..maybe a bit more to get toolbox in, not being biased pushing Als tanks just that Ive got one, fitted it and wouldnt go back to standard or try anyone elses..tried the rest then got the best sort of thing...

I most certainly did, my own fault though:

1: being a tight sod
2: not doing a dry fit before spending quite a few quid painting and sealing to find it didn't fit- a tad ground off each side on the seam would have sorted the fit but maybe exaggerated any leak potential.

I think corrado sells similar and I should have bought one from there as I'm sure they'd be ok

Came to the conclusion that Im ok with a standard tank as I'm ready for a break after 60 miles anyroad

i have fitted all sorts and sizes of tanks,the stainless are poor and if they crack it is shite to repair!
i would strongly recommend the 'diablo tank' ,it fits and doesnt fracture if it does you dont need a super welder to repair it,can be fitted and removed in minutes without swearing and skinning knuckles,
no i'm not on commission just promoting a good well made product!

I like Als tanks but i dont want to lose the tool box as i carry a spare in the leggies, i know he does them with tool boxes but there a bit to samll for me. I think he does do a 13.5 one with cut out but there £250 i think?

We drink from the same cup, monies tight..! Does corado sell the seamed 13l ones with cut out?

http://www.justlambretta.com/. Click on Carburation and fuel , does 12l with both cutouts, I think they may be pressure tested as well?

The ones I do are for TS1 so not really sure if they'll fit an RB due to the inlet manifold angling backwards slightly more. I used one myself (Saigon scooter centre one) with no problems on my Imola until I fitted a short LTH manifold then I had clearance issues so reverted back to std tank. Not too much of a problem on the Imola as it'd do 70 miles until reserve anyway.
What 12 (yes 12 I couldn't get 13 litres in it) litre tanks are other RB owners using?
