Baffled!

recently rebuilt engine, it ran fine for 30 miles then died, ran briefly, then died again. I stripped the carb and it ran ok for a couple of miles then died again. Another (serious!) carb strip, this time it will only tick over, now it fires when kicked over but will not run.
Today i changed the coil, ht lead, cap and plug, no change, I turned the engine over with a drill, only very slight arcing around the points, no sign of leaking oilseals, comression fine, spark seems fine. Timing is a worry as i set it at 19btdc but to get it the stator is fully rotated anti-clockwise, apart from that im at a loss as to what to try next
Any ideas????
ps its a sr175 barrel, 18mm ma18bs5 carb and standard series 2 exhaust

try a new condensor then....better still ,chuck it in the bin and treat yourself to electronic.

would that be the same electronics that are sold with razor sharp wire holes that short out wrecking the cdi????
