Engine mounts

On the left the original Indian mount with rubber going all the way through, and on the right a brand new SR SIL two hole mount with rubber going only half way through. Could this change in manufacture be the cause of more frequent mount failure?? I also have a brand new three hole SR mount which only has the rubber going half way through.


A possible tip for that awkward bridge piece nut that is so close to the exhaust downpipe. This type of nut has a built in washer (don't know what they are called), but as you can see, it can be held upside down in the ring spanner while you do the bridge piece screw up from above old smiley 4
