I want to change my pm28 on my ts1 but don't want too muck around with gear ratios, i was thinking a jl4 or franspeed race as the pm is quite revvy. My gearbox is li150 15/46. Do you think thats the right choice?

That's very low gearing. Does it rev its nuts off at 50mph?

it's got a 400x10 tyre and sits nicely at 60+. Gearing hasn't been a problem or revving its nuts off.

5.2 : 1 (standard gearing) or 5.0 : 1 work well with the JL4 in my experience.

Agree with above^^^^
Franspeed race for ts1 is a good pipe and makes more power than a jl4, and is not prone to cracking as the jl4. :)

I've only run one TS1, and that ran 4.6, which seemed pretty revvy at the time.

Don't most 185 kits pull a 16t on an Li box? To go to the effort of a TS1, I'd be disappointed to have to run such low gearing.

revvy pipes need low gearing on ts1 or they end up not pulling 4th like a 210 vespa.
