Surely that would depend on how high you've set your compression.

it is a standard 200 kit with 1.5mm squish.

Set your bike up on standard pump fuel with a sensible comp head and you shouldn't have a problem. Various reports now suggest high octane fuels can be detrimental to 40 year old 2 strokes due to additives etc designed for modern cars. Also, at many rallies, off the beaten track, it is often difficult to find high octane. I run my TS1, RB and Dragster on the local ASDA brew with SIP oil. You don't want a fussy engine.

My TS1 is set up to run super unleaded, but it wouldn't kill it to run regular unleaded. It's been shown on a dyno that Tesco super unleaded gives the best power

But if you need a dyno to show that then it aint worth paying the extra.soulsurfer wrote:My TS1 is set up to run super unleaded, but it wouldn't kill it to run regular unleaded. It's been shown on a dyno that Tesco super unleaded gives the best power
