I can't really see why people think these kits are so great, its just a cheap Indian stage 4 barrel adapted to fit a small block. For almost the same money you could buy a 200cc block and stage 4 cylinder kit.
Or for alot less money an Ali 186 cylinder and bore it up to 200. With all the benifits of an Ali barrel.

I've done a couple of "186" Ally barrels out to 66mm (200cc) and have had absolutely no problems with them- indeed I've found with a steel lined alloy barrel the piston to bore clearance can be reduced to 3 thou with no nip ups. Running in wise 100 miles and then let rip.
Cheep as chips and great fun to play around with

Why? What make are they? Ive had a tuned Indian barrel with the Mahle piston for last 7 yrs.Rings have never let go and it gets abused.Best value for money kit ive ever brought as people pay a hell of a lot more money for the same if not less power.

Mate of mine has a standard Indian barrel with bigbore and 30mm dellorto and had 76mph on his GPS.He canes it everywhere to keep up with us and its reliable as.You can still run a wide port with cast rings but its the right shape thats important. My width is almost on the 70% limit but Ralph did mine and obviously got it perfect.
