I have one. The idea is pretty simple, in that the throttle pulls the cable harder as the throttle spring tightens-up. That is, the more resistance there is from the throttle spring, the more leverage there is from the SLJ's cable-puller. This also has the effect of pulling more cable through, and opening the slide more-per-degree-of-throttle-grip-rotation.

I have heard people criticise SLJ's new cable guide as the hole in his throttle (the one that links it to the throttle rod) is not always in the correct location. Well it was for mine, but I guess there just isn't a one-size-fits-all solution for all Lambretta headset combinations. SLJ's solution is to rotate the rod by 90degrees and re-drill the hole. Easy, and not an unacceptable get-around for the customer to execute.

John is a road-going scooterist trying to make life easier for other road-going scooterists, and his products are of a very high standard.

One of the few parts I have ever purchased that fitted "straight out of the box" on both splined and nonsplined rods ,was good value, very well made and worked 8-) 8-)

I bought one some ago and it's a solid piece of kit that does exactly what it's supposed to.

I've had a few things off SLJ and it's all the same, excellent quality.
