Not Again!

Got back home last night from a superb 4 Nations rally in Scotland. Nearly home and something didn't feel right at all. Speed dropped and power went down fast. Got in and upnpacked went out to the Lambretta this morning to this.

The wheel is really stiff with no side play at all. and almost impossible to turn by hand.

I'm going to drop the engine out and do a post mortem in the next couple of days, but before we left for Scotland I'd spent the day going through everything to make sure it was sound.

Are you sure it's not jusdt the engine mounts? looks like the engine is cocked so maybe the tyre is rubbing on the mudgaurd :?

Either way, I hope it's something simple :(

You might have a point as there's been a petrol leak from the tank that I needed to sort! That could have obliterated the mount. Thanks I'll check!

Oh dear.

Your were right about the engine being wonky too, but it wasn't the mount......

The best bit is when we were at the 4 Nations rally, We were stood a good bit back from my Lammie. My significant other had said the back wheel looked a bit off. Me and a couple of others looked and thought it was a tiny bit but the drink was messing with our eyes! We never thought about it the rest of the weekend.

DOH!

Happened to a mate of mine here in Northern Ireland coming back from Kelso in June.

I'm annoyed I never spotted it. I was too concerned about it being another layshaft issue, I've completely missed it.

What's that curious mark that runs half way through the frame number? Very neat. It looks like a cut.
