Been having a 1/2 to 3/4 throttle issue of late where the response is poor and have had lag..the dreaded wwooooorr until the revs pick up..which culminated in a slight nip yesterday on the way home from a very hot run, I had been giving a large handful to say the least with it running very well and quick when in the distance I could see traffic so backed off to 1/2-3/4 throttle which must have been only a matter of seconds then felt it..the parachute effect so quickly grabbed the clutch lever I had been coveting all day..no loud scretch just cut out...I free wheeled to a stop..plug out, choccy brown so kicked it straight off...first kick left it on tick over for a couple of mins and all was fine so rode home at either below or full throttle with no ill effects or loss of power..

Now today I dropped the needle to 3rd clip (x13) which made it worse..put it to top clip but the same throttle response..changed the needle to (x7) 2nd clip and some improvement but not there..moved to top clip and hey presto full rev with no lag from tickover..just a very slight hesitation before running clean to main jet where it revs out full...

Now the confusion bit..leaner needle (x7) then set at top clip (leaner)..seems on paper a recipe for lean 3/4 throttle and a heat sieze...yet revs through now with no lag..surley cant be correct..
