Some pictures of my Jet 200 rebuild, the scoot was originally purchased without engine from Shocky in May 2009 with the intention of a quick tart up and a small block engine and to be used as my London commuter.

Then I went to Le Mans and saw the Aston Martin entry for the LMP1 class and it set me off in a different direction

I know the Gulf colour scheme has been done before but I wanted to theme it on the Aston take on it and pick up on the use of the 007 race number used by one of the 3 cars (James Bond reference).
I also decided that I would use it as my ride to Gijon for the 2010 Euro Lambretta event so I had a completion target to aim for. Work actually started in February 2010.
Blasting revealed some rust damage and a few dents which needed attention

The scoot came with a strange looking Ancilotti type seat which had a home made cover on it so I cut the back and got it recovered by a local trimmer in Norwich.

Finished except for a few crucial stickers which didn’t arrive until the night befor my departure for Gijon

The engine spec is : Indian 225 barrel ported by Mick Abbey, 30mm PHBH, JL3, Indian electronic with August 6000.

Cheers Al, they motor runs very well except for a large boggy spot in the mid range which I'm advised may well have something to do with a low compression ratio (about 7.2 uncorrected). I may also have to drop the gearing but I thought I'd get the head seen to first and see how it handles it.

I actually sprayed it in a small room off that one which we had just had converted to a bedroom. I convinced my wife that if I taped decorating sheets to the walls and clingfilmed the pine doors all would be fine.......unfortunately, the air blast from the spray gun dislodged some of the decorating sheeting amnd I now have a vey fetching gulf blue stripe across the wall   I think iot unlikely that I'll be allowed to do that again
