Paul at scooter restorations sold them dont know who else !
They can be fiddley to use as you get the hang of them. But I find them more accurate than a steel bar/rule and digital verniers.

how do you use them? excuse my ignorance...

It's a bracket (that holds a dial gauge) that is rested against the gasket face while the probe that extends from the gauge gives a reading both sprockets are checked and the clutch is then shimmed togive a reading (within tolerance) with reference to the drive sprocket.Supereibar wrote:how do you use them? excuse my ignorance...

Is there a scooterist/side of the road way of doing this with minimal tools? I do have different shims that I bought for that very purpose.J1MS wrote:It's a bracket (that holds a dial gauge) that is rested against the gasket face while the probe that extends from the gauge gives a reading both sprockets are checked and the clutch is then shimmed togive a reading (within tolerance) with reference to the drive sprocket.Supereibar wrote:how do you use them? excuse my ignorance...
