i have a genuine gp-sil crank new and want to upgrade it, making it reliable.
thinking of buying a mazzuchelli conrod kit for gp-cranks and get the conrod changed (with bearing).
is it worth or should i bin it directly (sell it off) and buy a new gp mazzuchelli race for 100.-
which are good quality.
(ps: engine is indian cylinder, 22mm, krp 1 exhaust)

Sean,s right imo, use martin at chiselspeed, he,s done 3 for me upto now and ive had no trouble with any of them, in fact iam still running the first one he did and its been in a Rapido Race and 2 mugellos, its got a MEC 107mm rod in that one

, but what ever rod he puts in it,ll be OK, he doesent use crap. Ive got one of his in my RB 230 he re-rodded for me, took 6 tons to put the pin in, dont expect it to twist anytime soon

, regards.

as not living in the uk, i won´t send it to chiselspeed, but a good shop around the corner.
does anyone know a recommendable conrod type (standart dimensions) ?

The Indain conrods can look dog rough but they are OK it's the bearing that's no good usually.
