Apologise if this is in the wrong place, but I have a Koso 30mm carb donated to me and need to know what carb it's a copy of (or is it a copy of of a copy?) so I can buy some jets for it.Also, where would I get jets from?
Thanks.

They are one of the many copy Keihin PWKs. Some copies seem to be better quality than others. Has yours been run successfully on a scooter as if it came off a 2 stroke bike, your slide will be too lean?

Several dealers now seem to do packs of jets, however, in my experience a year or so back (this may have changed now) the needles are not marked as proper Keihin needles which makes it really hard to jet the carb in ie, it's guesswork and trial and error.

Personally, if i was you, I'd buy proper Keihin jets and needles from Allens Performance in Bingham, Notts. A bit more expensive but you know what you are getting.

I have an original Keihin PWK, the slide is marked M35. Can the slide be modded to suit scooter application and if so, how?
Cheers

Allens are good and the service is excellent. BGM sell very economical jet packs -you can buy needles, jets and idle jets for not a lot.

From memory, that sounds like it may be the right size for a scooter. The 35 should signify the size of the cut out. The bike one I had was 55 or 60, I think (is that right___bigger cut out, more air in, leaner mix??).

If you give me a couple of days, I'll try and check this for you

Thanks for the replies. The carb came off a lambretta with a mugello kit on.Seemed to run ok-ish, just spat a lot of fuel out.
Thanks again.
