Whats the best ignition conversion...

Got a bog standard 6v non battery Li 150.
Want to change the 6v to a 12v.
Do I convert the stator plate to a 12v and what are the drawbacks
OR go the whole hog and convert to electronic ignition and if so,
whats the best one and do I need to add a battery.
Would appreciate your views.

SIL Stator with the best regulator and CDI you can afford.

yep, would go with that, and if you had to choose, spend more on the CDI.
no need for a battery unless you are running anything extra to the standard lights, but you can then get a better horn, and a brake light that doesn't dim the headlamp...
