my lambretta ts1 is running very hot at the mo....
i only have to ride for about 5 mins and come back and the bike is very hot and smells of burning rubber
i have checked and replaced al gaskets on the inlet, exhaust, base and head gaskets and doesnt appear to be a leak.
i have checked the timing which is still bang on 17 deg.
the bike isn't very responsive at low revs and fires (pops) on the over run when throttle is shut
its running so hot it is colouring the chrome on my exhaust on the expansion pipe under the leggies
any ideas??

Check your end can mate. Could be the baffle has broken inside and the smell could be burnt wadding.
This would also make the bike run hot and if this is the problem will eventually hole the piston.

Have a good look at the side of your rear tyre and make sure it isn't rubbing on the engine casing or rear brake cable. This might only be happening when you are sitting on it probably due to under inflation. I had this on my scoot a couple of years ago, ifg you have a wide rim the tyre runs VERY close at the best of times
