....when did an Indian frame start to fetch this kind of dosh?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=016
I always had a figure in mind of approx £125-£175 for an Indian frame....or £225-£275 for same frame with a log book (more for Italian stuff).

i think its to do with a J reg logbook,
i wud not think that the numbers on the frame match the logbook,
and if they do well,

Agree it's probably the J reg that's sold it. But there's no law to stop anyone putting an older plate on a newer machine, it's the other way round you can't do.
i think you will find it has a J plate becouse it has been re registered you can buy plates from that era for about £149 i know some people just want there indian scoot to look italian nothing wrong with it all legle i asked him some questions yesterday and he was a bit elusivetwin wrote:i think its to do with a J reg logbook,

A
its an indian 1978 frame i re/ reg it for the j plate and is reg asa lambretta 200 22/000078--- as u can see INDIAN thanks kev
Q Dear kevfto,
hi thanks for that it was the number after the forward slash that i wanted 22/0*00*000000 the one before the first star cheers
A
no probs in the log its reg/ as a lambretta 200 thanks kev
so he hasnt really answered my question
the fact that is reg as a 200 means nothing i have had 2 scooter that are reg as 200,s one was a italian gp 125 frame no 22/1# 001xxx the other an unstamped indian frame
if you think about it this frame is prob worth what he is asking or has been bid
frame = £125-150
registration process £55 minimum could be more if you need to take it to the vlo plus your time fuel etc
reg plate £150 again minimum might be worth more plus transfere fee,s are nearly £100
