Anyone hazard a guese as to why Innocenti made the TV175 with an odd length con rod?
IMO its the best bike they ever produced and scores over its big brother on handling and smoothness. But why the odd length rod?
Any ideas?

58mm stroke 116 rod. the rod exactly twice the length of stroke, a "square" crank for smooth running??

Is right......... 2 to 1 rod to stroke ratio..........

The 2:1 ratio is common amongst tune stroke engines.
The better question would be why did Innocenti chose 107mm for the more common Li/SX range of scooters. In fact, another question would be why choose sizes that no one else uses, hence con-rod swap-out tend to use 110, 115 or 120mm rods.

I always thought/read somewhere that the common crank in the S1-3 had roots in design with the C, D ranges etc and that could be the reason for the 107 conrod length.
