Rebuilt the forks on Saturday, but when I put a straight edge across the links, one is about a quarter of an inch higher than the other. Photo doesn't show it too clearly. Definitely no old stops up inside forks and springs and rods equal length. The two bottom buffers are the same height, although the gap from the bottom of the inside of the fork to the bottom of the link is different on either side of fork. Will this be OK once a wheel is in and the weight of the scoot is on the springs. Links were supplied by Steve (Shocky) so I know they are fine because he is quite meticulous about these things. Did notice that some other buffers I had had become softened by grease/oil, so binned them.


Also noticed this up inside me ScootRS exhaust. It appears that one section of the cone protrudes inside the exhaust and could affect performance (restrict sonic wave/exhaust gases flow). Should I dremel ist flush??

id fit the hub with a rim on and have a look id say is normal and only 1/4 inch lol did you put a solid 12mm bar through both fork link bolt holes to check if the lined up

...my idea would be to work the links up n down to settle em in.....have you got odd size btm buffers....failing this strip down now before u fit to scoot n end up going left at right handers....make sure everthing matches side by side b4 install......good luck

i had the same problem, i used a piece of 1/2 bar to ram the stops home and they are perfect now

pain in the arse i know but tru swaping the boffers from one side to another or the rods or a combination of the 2
