I'm fitting one to my series 2. It couldn't be simpler to fit,you just take the wire and wrap it round the HT lead. You can stick it somewhere (headset top, top of legshield toolbox etc) or mount it using screws.

It's beautifully simple, it shows run time in hours when the engine is off. When the engine is running it shows revs (you can adjust for different ignitions and also change sensitivity and the rate it updates). Just after you switch the engine off it shows peak revs

This sort of thing is great for racing but you won't be able to see it at night. Koso (and Stage6) do a small one like that but the difference it that its back-lit.

Ive run a Sendec one for approx 3 years now, their cheap [£27] posted, very easy to fit, just wrap the single wire around your HT lead, and if you fit them on 2x15mm plastic pipe clips they sit on top of your legshield rubber, they dont light up at night either though.

Have ordered the Mb one and a bag of carrots
it's just to keep me from worrying on those long motorway rides
TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back

This is where I got mine http://www.henryarmer.com/sendec.htm but the links don't work  Just give them a call and tell them what it's for and they'll sort you out, they're nice people ;-)
