Clutch advice needed

Hi, advice needed here, I'm running a Mick Abbey tuned 225 and experiencing clutch slip on a standard clutch. I fitted a set of heavy duty (plated type) springs kindly offered by Mark yesterday which seem to have cured the slip but the lever is VERY heavy (Beedspeed dog leg type).

Any suggestions for a lighter option? I do have a Camlam 5 plate Surfex set up which has only covered 40 miles laying about but is missing springs and a couple of plates (I thinks MB do these seperately?)

I've got steels of varying thickness and sets of [used] Taffspeed, camlam, MB springs which you're welcome to.
of course they are in norwich...

after advice from soulsurfer i bought a granturismo clutch from Richard Taylor in Birmingham, Top Clutch, Top Bloke, i operate with one finger, never slips, bloody expensive but worth every penny

Col, I can recommend the MB clutch lever makes the action easier than the Spanish dog leg levers. Whether it would sort it entirely, probably not but, at this late stage, it might be worth a punt

Do you have a nylon lined cable fitted and is it fitted right.

Thanks for the tips guys, the caable is new (just re-built) and was routed ass per Stickies book with no sharp bends or kinks.

Storkfoot's suggestion about the MB lever prompted me to have a look at them on line and although I already have a pair of Beedspeed dog legs, the MB one looked different and remonded me of the fact that the scooter came with one lever. I just dug it out of my box of bits and I'd bet money that it is either a modified Yam lever or one of the earlier MB ones. Either way, I poished it with the dremel, fitted it, slid in another new inner liberally greased and I think I now have a clutch I can live with :bouncing:

....also check that the clutch activating lever starting position is at a 90 deg angle to the engine casing..

No it wasn't black. it is quite long and has shaped finger grips. Quite slack in the support but sorted with some shims, just need a brake lever to match now.
