Hi.
I have a standard Indian Stage4 barrel with std Malhe 3 ring piston and a delly 22 carb.
I have too a JL3 Curly but i dont know if is a good idea to put in this engine because with this configuration i know that can go up to 6000rpm.
What do you recommend me, to buy a Clubman or to put the JL3?
Another thing are the gears. What gear configuration do you recommend me with a JL3 or with a Clubman? the gears are Li150 italian type.
Thanks!

I run a ported Indian barrel with a JL3 but with a 28mm carb. The clubman will be good but the JL better.Id stick a bigger carb on which will make a big difference.Ive used a clubman and a JL3 on mine and not a big difference but still say the JL slightly better.I run 4.8 ratio in mine and pulls very well, could even go 4.6.If you did stick on a 28/30 carb with 4.8 ratio,it should be good for 70mph+

Thanks for your help.
I dont understand for example why my RB20 cant go with a 4.7 ratio because dont have 4th, and a stage4 indian barrel can go with a 4.8 or 4.6 ratio. I dont understand very well the gear ratios. If someone can explain me please ;)
Thanks!

If you get a kit done with some decent timings,it will pull aswell as rev well. Your RB should still be good for 4.8 from what ive read.
