Hi all,
Does anyone know if these need running in or if they're "good to go" straight away?
Cheers
Rob

I should imagine any new piston or cylinder should be run in as its new metal..

If you compare the 1000 miles you would have to do on a cast iron barrel its far better.
200 miles easy but giving it short blats away from lights but no prolonged loads, then work it up for another 2 or 300. Lots of short trips round town is what I did with mine.
Doing the same with a Muggello at the moment.

Dealer advice is to run in for first 100miles at no more than 50mph max and ease up to 70mph for second 200miles at 4% then run at 3% which is what I've done on my 210 kit. 900miles covered so far no problems. Compression is still good. Still pulls SX150 gears + 19x47 cogs easily...................

My Casa had close to 4K on it when the buggers stole it. Never missed a beat. Pulled like a train with a 125 box on a 19x46 After enlarging the inlet and exhaust port it reved better than ever. As a replacement for a standard 125 or 150 you wont go wrong. It will give good reliable low reving grunt for years. If you want a whiner go for something else, how far do some of the others go before blowing a piston?

Is there a recommended exhaust to use on this kit?
