Does anyone have expieriece with flywheels fitted to the boss with screws instead of rivets? Scooter restoratios offers those kits (cone with screws), but I’m not sure if that will last very long.

if the screws are marked 10.9 or higher on the head then they will be more than stong enough i threadlock and fit nylok nuts on mine like others have said if done correctly then no probs , make sure the holes are not oversize though if they are you wil have to get a non metric fixing (1/4)or a 7mm if poss with a high tensile rating

as shocky says, if done properly, no problem. ive ran one with M6 high tensile counter sunk allen bolts, nylocks (on the outside), and loctite. and i peened the bolts over just in case. i did one with double nuts on the outside, but you cant get the dust cover on like that. the old vespa /lammy electronics were done that way, and they were pretty bullet proof. just get a grow up to do it .

Thak you, I'll try that. The screws from SR are stainless M6, fut i'll go for 10.9 counter sunk skrews.
