I am building a 225 Mugello with 60mm crank and 1mm packer. new light mugello piston
Also altering porting to 175 exhaust and 150 inlet with 30mm Mikuni and Jl3 exhaust.
I have talked to a local 2stoke motorcycle tuner that can balance cranks but we are unsure of balance percentage to use.
Any ideas

Thanks Tony.
Talked to them today and they balance dynamically which meens taking in short block which i may do at a later date.
After another conversation with the tuner we have decided for mid range we are going with 65% as this is what he uses for single cylinder motorcross bikes.
So we are going to have a go and see what happens.

No probs mate. Steve is a top guy. For future ref he will require the whole setup, barrel flywheel motor etc and an idea of what angle the engine runs at.

Still confused. Searching the web i have found that 50%-57% is quoted as best for single cylinder.
We are off to Bristol Classic bike show today so i will ask a few questions
