there's a thread running on the LCGB site regarding toolbox contents, does anyone have any links to the ultimate mini toolkit to carry, as the original lammy kits do not cover all our little 21st century additions
its a very interesting topic no doubt,
the limitations as regards your contents to this kit really depends on your size of tool box and how much money you would like to spend on kitting it out for every possible eventuality...and so simply the size of your toolbox and your wallet..,and then of course whether or not you have the brakedown recovery option.
but personally ,and from my 80,s/90,s experience of attending many rally,s around the country ...
i would suggest / advise adding a pack of condoms ...
and ffs by the way they go on ,on the LCGB they would need a trailer or back up van to carry all their spares and tools...

i know what you mean re trailer, thats why i'm on the lookout for a good quality snazzy little one kit fits solution , i do have a legshield toolbox but like to leave some room for the viagra

A good multitool can do away with a lot of individual tools like screwdrivers, pliers, allen wrenches, etc. Additionally, a good quality tool roll (not those repros of the ones that were included in new Lambrettas) can pack a surprising amount of tools and spares without taking up much space. My list was very long but most of what I listed is from my tool roll that only takes up about a quarter of my legshield toolbox. I don't carry many of my good tools in my scooter but rather make do with cheapo spanners and sockets. The original poster asked what do people carry in their toolbox on long journeys. If I pop out for a beer run then even the tools are left at home allowing a few more bottles to fit.
