slow responce ,here goes.the 225 rapido is fairly torquey,by fitting the long stroke crank it will be even better, try to get a long rod and short crown heighted piston configuration.for better acceleration and a smoother ride,

ps, the port timings can be altered quite easy because of the iron liner, you can make adjustments with packers etc,

The 225 is 70mm so 70x64: 246cc
and...
71x64: 253cc
72x64: 260cc
If you want to work out your port timing, CC, squish, BMEP and other stuff, try this lovely bit of software:
http://www.lambretta-images.com/forumbb/porttiming.php but what timings you end up with all depends on what the port timings are as standard with the crank that the 250 was designed to run with (60, 62?), and then how you adjust the cylinder height to accomodate the 64mm crank.......

Its the 260cc who is tempting, but I dont know witch caracter a rapido race 250 have in the first place. Its made for 60mm stroke, but the race wersion is pretty revy is't? I want a tourer set up with clubman.
As long as you dont machine off the bottom off the barrel you will race port timings with a stroker crank would't you?
