I need to carry some more fuel for the journey, so thought I'd fit a bike tank in :

off a Honda moto-x bike of some sort....
fitted ok, haven't worked out the best way of plumbing it in yet though...
looks a bit plain, might need some stickers or something,....
it can easily unbolt, so probably won't have it in there all the time

If I didn`t know better I would have thought that the tank came with the scoot.
Looks like real patina.
Cool

Looks made for the job Jarv, and good for you on riding back up thru France. Could you run petrol pipe thru the toolbox door lock hole (and use the two smaller ones either side to keep the door shut) saving any cutting of that pristine Italian steel?
p.s. I got an orange sticker for that bare tank..

the pipe does run underneath the seat hinge bracket to the standard tank. I'll probably adapt a filler cap to be able to fill the standard tank up when riding, using my fuel warning light as a cue.
the toolbox door does still open ok, and [with a slight fettle on the key] can even be locked
yeah, any stickers welcome. cheers Ian.
but my tacho stopped working after 20 miles tonight, it is rubber mounted, but maybe it's getting too many vibes there... luckily i have some spare internals...
