WARNING:

for some time there are now faked skf and fag bearings around. masses of chinese skf and fag bearings are available on the net on epay etc.. so be careful when buying bearings via the net.
a local scooter shop here in germany told us there are many around. cheap rubbish caged bearings skf-stamped or fag. made in china and available cheap in the net.

another problem are "genuine piaggio parts". we all know that piaggio sells a lot of low quality indian made parts in piaggio packaging now. THE NEW problem is that single very big german parts stockists and italian stockists are putting now low quality crap parts in original piaggio bags themselves and sell them as genuine piaggio parts.

As the Chinese government is doing nothing to stop pirated goods being made there and sold in the west it is high time to review our countries' trade agreements with them. Besides being a copyright and trademark issue, this is now a saftey issue. What good are stampings and ISO numbers now? How can anyone verify the source of parts like bearings?

concerning "piaggio"-labeled parts:

i am following this case (more than rumors) and want to find out
more. before i have not 100% proofs i won´t be concrete.
would be unfair and absolutely no-go.
