which rear hub

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

can anyone advise on which is the best rear hub,make and type etc......when re doing and building easy rider chopper removed rear hub and sean noticed it was a indian ramp type.....so ventured out and aquired an innocenti one in very good order,teeth for the spline also in very good order....stripped,painted etc back on scoot,and probably done about 500 miles or so....to my horror after thursday night at squires cafe getting home and noticing today mega movement and play in the full hub and wheel......i know theres bad horrors on the ramp ones but the ramp one i removed as been on for about 3 years or so,and done lots off mileage..and on checking two innocenti ones with the same problems.....to checking the ramp one that is still in perfect condition teeth etc not a mark,damage in any shape or form......and now back on me scoot.....how is this....so which type is the one i buy.....any help advise would be much appreciated cheers all

Apart from the Ramp (which I would continue to use personally if it's been on that long with no issues, main issue is that they can be oval, yours obviously isn't) you've got a choice of UNI auto (Injun), SIL (Injun), FA Italia (Italyun) and the Tino ones that Cam Lam sell. Uni Auto is the cheapest and best finished of the 3 that I sell, I think it's the only hub that MB sell too at the moment.

So what's the story with Tino's Safe rear hub? Is it really that much better than what's availalbe?
