i looked at a two piece reach adjustable lever yesterday. its almost identical but the pivot hole is almost twice the thickness needing a longer bolt.

the lever was from a gxsxr 750 on a h plate. we need to be looking at smaller machines with conventional bars with yokes.

find what this master cylinder came off then find after market billet products for it.

im thinking kdx 125, dtr125, xl range?

This is where I think you have really made a differance so I thank you for bringing it to everybodies attention.
Totally right, that's probably the most important thing that has been achieved.

All we need now is to find out if these levers will fit and we are sorted.

On another note, was down at North Weald for the sprints today. Mostly bikes but im guessing there were at least 6-8 scoots there as well, with a couple of lammy skellies posting some quick times.

not realy a scootrs problem. a problem asociated with any of these levers fro any of the dealers

what we need is somone with the ability to do castings to do a range of switch housings to take the gremica range of master cylinders. both to take the px disc type and the motorbike type.

anyone know who can do casting :?

That depends really on whether these are generic 3rd party levers available to all on the asian market that ScootRS has bought in. Or if they were copies that ScootRS had made themselves for their own conversions.

If it was the former and it was fitted to my product then I would have mentioned it by now.

Which ever it was - this particular lever wasn't up to the job. Randall said he's never heard of it before.

Hopefully its an isolated incident.

yes agreed, my point though is there is no point focusing on just scoot rs until we know it is a scoot rs issue.

in the meantime someones life is wrecked because they buy the same thing from somewhere else :shocking:

my three levers are identical. one from beedspeed, one from scoot rs and one from someone on ebay......i think i need to look at all three....even if its a scootrs issue how do i know that beedspeed and mr ebay seller is not selling scoot rs parts or buying from the same manufacturer.

its an isolated incident but in quality control terms this means batch testing, we dont have that level of control so a two minute check of you lever will harm nobody and any decent responsible dealer with this knowledge would want to check their stock.
