Hi folks,
quick update, been to bridlington today with the beast, took about 30 mins from my house, no breakdowns or mishaps, ran very well and tried not to thrash it too much, although my mate andy, who was following me did clock me at 85 at one point.when we got to the brid spa i had lots of nice comments and conversations with various people, anyway cut to the chase i got second place in best indian scooter in the ridden catagory and won the best engineered in the ridden catagory, to say im pleased is an understatment.

hi folks, not done a massive amount to the beast in the last few weeks, except start it up regularly and taken it for a spin round the block a few times. i have noticed the drive chain was getting a bit dry so ive decided to fit the scottoiler that i bought last year. firstly i had to make a holder for the reservoir, a jubilee clip with a tab welded on the side will do that job, then a holder for the dispenser pipe, i turned down a bit of steel on my lathe so the plastic pipe was a snug fit, then made a tab and welded them together, removed the chainguard and drilled it, then pop riveted the holder in place, then fitted them all in place, will get pics of it fitted later. it works off vacuum so i just need a t piece and some vacumm pipe to finish it off, the idea is when the engine is started the vacuum opens a small valve in the bottom of the reservoir and the oil trickles down the pipe and drips onto the chain, it has an adjuster at the top so you can increase or reduce the amount of oil getting onto the chain, extends the life of the chain by a large margin, these lc engines make a lot of power and can snap chains, my engine case has damage where a chain has snapped at sometime in the past, not something i would like to happen to me, so im hoping the oiler keeps it in good condition.
