Is the magnetic pick up included?

Got any pics of how you mounted the pick-up?Speed Demon wrote: Got mine running with magnetic pick-up, on AC Varitronic (well Casa) and in SX headset. All ok.
I got a grown up to do it at Replay Scooters! I'll ask if he had any problems? Correction to Scooter - It's an early Jet 200 (1967), so it may have a different headset?Minority wrote:Hey Maz how did you go with the actual physical fitment of the unit in the SX headset (not any electrical connections). A lot of chat on the forums suggest that the speedo cable connection is in the wrong place and in a SX headset the cable/fixing actually pushes against the back of the fork (instead of going down the middle of the fork) and prevents the headset and/or speedo fitting properly. Seems the GP headset has enough room to accomodate this.Maz wrote:I've had mine on my SX for a week, done 260 running in miles.
Everything works perfectly with a BGM 120 stator. I have been using a GPS to check and adjust the mileage.
It looks standard, but is a great trick part! It's the best thing ever!
Will be fitting one on my GP shortly!
Can it include a fix for the rev counter on Wassell DC conversions which include a battery pleaseSpeed Demon wrote:Yes there will be an article on the SIP speedos but I don't know how far off that will be at the moment....
Thanks for that Maz, it would be nice to see if they had any problems. Saw your Jet 200 in the "Show us your Scoots" section, very nice!!Maz wrote:I got a grown up to do it at Replay Scooters! I've put some pictures in 'Show as Your Scoots' section.
Now that does sound interesting. The first two mods that I was planning were the SIP speedo and converting the disc brake to antidive.Speed Demon wrote:Yes there will be an article on the SIP speedos but I don't know how far off that will be at the moment. Still some more things to test.
As for fitting pics - most people wont be able to fit the way I've done mine because it is bolted to the disc link where the retaining stud normally fits (only works with anti-dive conversions)
I had another thought about that, have you tried tapping into the feed from the pickup? probably won't work but might be worth a try?sideout wrote:Can it include a fix for the rev counter on Wassell DC conversions which include a battery pleaseSpeed Demon wrote:Yes there will be an article on the SIP speedos but I don't know how far off that will be at the moment....![]()
