I use an rd350 servo, second hand off ebay £30 and a programable servo control unit from a company called Ignitech £160
The ignitech system can be configured to open and close at any rev range so is ideal if your building a bike barreled proto. The Aprilia RS125 has a powerblade system so its not really ideal for progressive control but it can be done. The idea behind it is that you open your powerblade fully at the rpm that your resonance starts so that you get max top end power. Once you have done this you then program a progressive opening curve through the lower rpm range this curve will give you more power and throttle response in the low to middle rev range. Well at least this is the theory, I'll be setting mine up next week so I'll let you know how it goes

This is a dyno chart that Wolle at Scooer & Service sent me to explain the theory.
Basically the dyno chart below is off a T5 but without a powervalve but that does matter.
On this scooter you would set the powervalve to open @ 6000rpm

The door wont fit now so its staying off, gonna trim the side panel too me thinks as Im gonna have a go at respraying the scooter myself over winter ha ha ha

Hi wayne , my mates starting a similar project to yours but is stuggling to work a crank out ? what cranjk do you recommend and what lenght conrod ?
