I always get stuff delievered to my work address for this very reason. Much easier as there is someone on reception from 7am until 7pm who can sign for it.

Have started the paint job, but decided at the last minute i was going to change the colour. Had a mate do it who does mobile spraying and he has done a crackin job. Knew what colour I wanted (old poster of 1970,s Aston Volante) he was able to match the colour exactly, using some program on his laptop and then mix the exact paint colour ala 1976, i was chuffed!

Anyway heres the results, just waiting for the leggies and front mudguard and the build can begin apace.

colour is Aston Martin english Pueter for anyone interested...

Seems to be a well done paint job. Use of waterborne or solvent paint?

How did you clean the gun? You cannot clean it with water if it is solvent based and you cannot clean it with solvent if waterborne.
I just ask as it realy seems to be a well done paint job for shed-made... Image

M210,
blimey im not sure how he cleaned it to be honest. Hopefully it will p155 down this weekend and the guy who does the spraying will decide against going on a ride out and do some more spraying for me instead (goes outside, dons feathered hat and does rain dance), if so i will ask him. His job is mobile chip repair and car damage so he has full compressor in his van as well as a program on his laptop that allows him to match any paint...its very cool. Spent last night flatting down the primer on the loop so its ready for paint.

Only down side is that his gun doesnt throw out as much paint as the commercial ones in shops so we need to do more coats. Plan is to do at least 3 then lots of laquer. Have just brought the pipe from AF so all i need now is the carb and front disc and we are good to go.......

Parts coming in fast now, just need to get the last bits before the credit card bill hits the matt.. :? Thought I might as well get the agg over in one go.
Just taken delivery of AF,s NK-Mid pipe, looks nice but quite short and doesnt seem to have a 2nd fixing?
