hi garry , i thought you might recognize it, it off an rb 20 barrel so im using the rb reeds.

you have plenty clearance there and i remember now when you first started this that you were using the rb reed thats a good idea on the end plate as well have you had a look at casa lambrettas new 18 spline layshaft /8 stud hub /bearing and other bits only about £280 should really strengthen the back end up

A lot of welding are you not worried about porosity and air leeks remember my ts230 casing that leaked like a sieve

good point, the guy who did the welding said it wasnt easy, i wont find out for sure till i do a leakdown test, nice to meet you today gary, its always good to put a face to a name, your ts1 sounded spot on and was worth the hard work you had building it

A leakdown test is necessary for not only the inlet, but also to ensure there is no coolant leaking into the crankcase, etc.

i wont have that problem as my water inlet feed is into the barrel via the hole under the exhaust port, then a packer plate between cylinder and block seal the bottom of the cylinder, well thats the plan.
