Has anyone noticed the Jetex float bowls are way smaller than genuine Dellorto ones ?.

Lambretta 1970 Gp200 fitted with rebuilt 1968 sx200 engine all standard
1971 Gp200 barrel with 8000kms from new
1971 NOS Dellorto 22 mm, brown original float with standard jets, red topped needle and standard atomiser but with 128 main jet instead of 118.
NOS Lambretta 1960's standard sx200 exhaust complete
no airs coop on frame as 1970's Ancelotti with unmodified GP airbox and BGM fast flow filter.
runs sweet/ drives well/ ticks over all day but under hard acceleration it cuts out above 500- rpm and backfires, then settles down to run sweet at lower revs and cruises well at 40ish. I was told standard atomiser is 1.5mm and I could drill it out to 2mm or 2.5mm will this help?.
sorry above 5000 rpm!!!
