Have been offered front disc set up for £150 but have just weighed out £600 for the rb kit & crank so that will have to wait. hopfully it will still be available.
heres the mad thing the complete engine will end up costing more than a reconditioned engine for my old range rover...How mad s that!!!!!

Personally sef id go for the disc set up and put a 175 kit on for this season matey..one thing you need to be able to do on any two wheeled vehicle is be prepared to stop in a hurry as ars
=holes out there dont look for ye...I must say sef you must have real disire to see this through as the stick youve had during this thread and on the other channel has not detered you from getting to your goal of riding it again! its very inspiring to be honest..The job i do i wish there was more people around like you who will not be beaten or give up...Keep it up mate its fascinating

Lam,
think I will probably get it put on as part of the build, although it will probably be the last thing done. What i may do is keep it as is, while i run it in as i wont be caning it, seems the general consensus is that about 500 miles is about right? I should imagine that will be another quesion later on in the thread....no change there then...lol
Thing iv noticed is that everybody has an opinion. When i first went down the local scooter club for there regular sunday morning cafe meet, every one was very friendly, but the thing was when they gathered round and looked at my wreck they were all "should leave like that mate. It will look cool, just tart it up a bit" all well and good but not one of there scoots had a mark on it. All pristine with no amount of love & money lavished on them. I had to laugh, but thats the beauty of it and as it should be. Be a bit boring if we were all the same.
Got to admit I am looking forward to seeing what the mid range set up for the RB will be like.
Had a go of a mates TS with a taffspeed pipe last weekend, was really nice & smooth through all the gears but still really pulled. If mine is half as good ill be a happy man.

Moan time! I have just had a massive ruck with a certain shop as i think they are taking the p**. Two weeks ago i ordered over £400 worth of parts for my rebuild, paid extra for next day delivery and it turned up...7 day later! Shop in question blamed the courier anmd swore blind they had sent it when they said. Last Thursday spent another £600 with the same shop and guess what, one week later no parcel, so after my 5th phone call to them they tell me to ring the courier who says they will look into it. shop phones me back and says that they tried to deliver it twice, boll**** there was no card left on either occasion! shop then says its my fault as i wasnt in when they called, i then expalined to the dimwit that some people have to work and as such kinda expect the courier co to leave a card so you pop down the depot and pick it up sat morning ( we have all been there!).
Anyway as we are getting no where i suggest that they re-deliver to my sister in laws who will be in,, and you know what she says, okay but thats an extra £15 to re-deliver! Now is it me or is there somthing wrong here, iv paid over a £1000 and would be paying another £500 to them for the last bits and she expects me to pay more money to recieve a 2nd parcel that is now a week over due, this on top of the fact that this is the 2nd time they have done it even though i have paid for next day delivery!!
Result being i suggested that they might want to pick up this bill. She didnt even get it when i tried being ironic straight over her head...Anyway cancelled my order and asked for my money back. I may well have cut my nose off to spite my face but i dont care. Its the F******* principal of it, and this coming from a man who proffesed to being a wham fan just to get his nuts in.......

Well lads your right, once bitten amd all that, but i thought they cant cock it up a 2nd time....how wrong i was. The silly bint would not take any responsibility and blamed the courier. The problem being its her courier and i paid her company not the courier.
