The term blueprinting on tuning engines refers to makin sure everything is at its optimum , including matching , bearing tolerances ,shims , compression ratios ,infact anything , its closing the tolerances that a producion engine has ,tony scott is well known in motorcycle racing ,his blueprinted engines were more powerfull than the honda racing jap engines ,but it takes a lot of time to do and is not about sticking new parts together , the way i see it is that charlie has cleaned and tweeked the barrel to how he wants it ,to blueprint it i would have thought it would have to go on the exact engine it was goin on , crank in place and all the relevant timings checked etc ,thats my take on it anyway lol !

Just read through the post though, can't see where I'm "dissing" (not a word I've ever used before), I'm big enough to take it. In my job you get very thick skin, there is a lot more bitching and jealousy in motorsport than scootering.
I come onto forums to have a laugh, and maybe comment on things I dont agree with. Some people can take it, some cant.

when anything is designed its put on paper called a blueprint, all blueprinting is is something thats made to the original blueprint, no more no less exactly to the blueprint, simple int it

A jap blueprinted engine is the hole engine, gaining power from every part of it. Wot will matter is how the hole engine is built and port timings and compression checked when building it. Id have thought that CE biggest concern is how the hole package is put together seeing as everybody's capabilities differ. Two motors with the same speck can be totally different all depending on how it's built blueprinted barrel or not.
