you cant beat the honda 205 conversion -- i had one and took it off years ago when i built the ts1 - old amal and a clubman would sit at 60- 65 all day with a little more on tap if needed -- also done a few susuki 190s got another mb one which my mate has converted to take a reed valve -- pulls like stink and again will sit at 60- 65 all day long with a little more on tap if needed with loads of pulling power -- i sold a 190 kit to my mate hes done a few euro lambrettas on it and 4 -5 uk rallys a year on it for the last 8 years on it and used to go to work every day on it for years - i think he changed the piston and had it bored once but he must have covered some miles on it:mrgreen:

i had a dj190 and an andy horne 190 both were very good in their time, also had a taffy ts1 tourer again very good but this so far knocks them all out imho which counts to me as its my engine lol.
i will say again for the people who havent read the whole thread. this is for a series 1 carrying 30 stone of well tuned muscle and a pav full of tent clothes and beer for long distance touring using minimal fuel, not a racy little number that needs revs to get moving and keeping there.

Jeesus.. you'd put a scooter through that??
Have you thought about getting a tool more suitable - like a motorbike?
Scooters are donkeys, not shire horses
