No need for that mate....its just a discusion. Chill.

On a serious note (not arguing, just discussing) HRC dont have to content with 40 year old crank cases.....they can get their crank volume by manufacturing cases to any spec they like....and in fairness, their NSR500's and the like.....are an entirley different beast.

Im sure every engine has its own strengths and weaknesses that require different strategies....otherwise all engines would be identical.

We're just trying stuff out Ads....

Anyone got a definative name for these type of cranks yet? I feel like an utter tw@7 calling them the German description of "special lip" or "membrane".

Got to say I'm struggling with the science, every part of sense in my body tells me you want the largest area of strength and area around the big end and pin. I know everyone has their own ideas and if you're experimenting / developing on your own motors then fair play. I'll admit there's some nice work gone into it that I'd use in different configurations, and I'm well open to heaping in humble pie, looking forward to the dyno shootout anyway but that's only cold, hard figures. You also need "seat of the pants".

just to answer some questions regarding the strength of these mods..............
IF you look carefully..............you would see that in NO way has strength been compromised..................the "meat" around the big end pin is fully intact.............. :D
