Update on my 220, I opened up the needle valve hole to 2.5mm and drilled the main stack hole from float chamber to 2mm. All the way through this time. Opened the fuel inlet on the Cosa/Spaco float cover and Bingo! 77Mph at 8000Rpm for 3mls and only 160C Head temp. Finally got there. Now to up the gearing.

the SIP ,3mm spacer between the carb top and float bowl makes a big difference in conjuntion with your mods ..i also modify the cosa top by drilling a hole across @ 90 degees from the two original ones ..also drimmel out the fuel intake passage way in the carb and banjo ..and omit the filter . also drill down the hole from filter to float bowl .

Amazing what a difference all those little mods make isn't it Sean. I have the 3mm bowl spacer on it too and binned the fuel filter. I considered opening up the two hole that let fuel into the bowl, your idea sounds better. Double the surface area for the fuel to get through. I just wanted to avoid using a big carb. Thankfully managed it. Cheers

im now in the process of long stroking my old 210 malossi to get a more torquey motor,
just wondering what pipes you are both running?
also as for fuel economy as someone has mentioned before, your not going to get any better than 50-65 miles out of a full tank, I plan my journeys and make sure I always fill up when the fuel light comes on, I find with my 210 atm, fuel light comes on and there is about 3 litres left, and its around a 55-60 mile journey, thats with a phbh 28
also what packers have you both chosen to use?
iv seen a variety of different people do, 1mm base, 0.5 head, 0.8base, 0.6 head, 1.2 base, 0.3 head, etc
just wondering if anyone has actually measured the ports and worked out the port timings to determine what packers are best to get the balance between bottom end torque and top end power?

Hi the best set up for me is 1mm base and 0.5 head with a mmw cylinder head 10.8 compression. Exhaust for torque is either sip road wich i have and is great or bgm big box. Use a standard carb or a phbh 26

If u want pure torque just stick on a 1.5 mm head gasket

I'm running a Micron pipe, my barrel is on the deck and head machined. Torquetastic! Had over 80mph Gps on a flat. Bit twitchy though. Bar going in between seat and headstock plus binning the Yankee style seat for a low racing seat pod thingy, also stick a 13ltr tank in the middle. Not had mine on a Dyno.
