Had a mate pop round today and go over a few things with me and we agreed best way forward would be to slow down and concerntrate on one thing at a time. Spent rest of day cleaning up what needs to be blasted will take that to be done next weekend. I think the way forward is for me to take it all apart, make a list of what needs replacing, then get a guy who knows what hes doing to put it back together again one its been blasted, beaten painted ect.

Mrs wasnt keen on the dishwasher being used though

Yeah the dishwasher worked a treat, and yes i did wait for to go out. bloody thing took so long she came back before it had finished, and i was caught. Tried the "iv been looking for that everywhere" line, to little if no effect and was dispatched to the shop to get some dishwasher cleaner.

Hi lads,
well after finally getting arm out of sling, finished the strip down and have had everything sand/bead blasted and the frame/loop, tank, toolbox and hubs powder coated in white.

finish seems rock hard and when i pick up the rest of the pannels will look to have them fettled before getting sprayed to match the powdercoat. Have started to buy all the bits and bobs ready for picking up the RB20 kit next week.

Well most of the beer was consumed trying to get the races out....Kit on its way this week, so happy days. Was out on sunday morning with me on the back of my mates rapido 225. Was somewhat gutted as there were about 20 scoots out and i was the only one not riding... :(

Picking up the legshields, pannels etc from the bead blasters on sat and a tad concerned with
how well the leg shields will come out. suspect there is a fair bit filler/rust. This is the only unknown really and could well effect the on the road date as i havent really budgeted for the prep and paint work :?

all will be revealed sat
