GP 125 - TS1 engine. Fully rebuild

Time ago i had problem with my original headlight. One of two pins on reflector is over.

Not so happy to remove my oem Cev. I searched an exchange reflector...never found it.
Just found a broken casa lambretta with mint reflector.



100 centigrades oven for 4 minutes with open door.



Reflector ready



Second step, the genuine Cev: the glass is ok and in perfect condition.

Just remove the old sealant and make new. The headlight is now ready and good

Friday sidepanels and drop came back home.


I fit the chrome badge, i'll wait the GP stripes in gloss black to see the overall effect



After i' ve fitting the sidepanels rubber, i put the panels


With seat work better

This past week i worked on a friend’ GP 200. We must change all cables



This job help to me to fit my next legshield toolbox (from Vespa Special 50)



Need to remade the upper side of toolbox



I made a paper shape to reweld the cutted piece

This Sunday i started with frame



Splash plate, side and central standing works fine.



Just fitted the electrical wire, i fitted the rear led light from BGM. The rear smoked light looks fine.



Long range tank genuine look fitted.

I bought decals in gloss black. I think looks better on black matt body

Finally the fork and drop fitted. Now I’m readt fo fit cables.

:20 pm: engine start! Sounds good

This past week end was very intensive.

I Sealed the my headlight



After I painted the master cylinder, I polished the Yamaha logo.



I’ve changed the nuts of absorber: from normal to pike.

Friday at 8:00 AM we started to assembly the engine



My girlfriend helped me to made new gasket.

Engine closed at 21 pm



Ready to fit.



Just change the fast flow fuel tap and will be ok. Ignition is 17 degree regulated. After running in will be completed I’ll fit the Kytronic

Last 3 days were harder to setting

I and my friend have 2 problem to solv.

First was that Delly VHSB doesn’t work good. Very hard to set up. I find on the net some jetting guide.

I try to find new needle, atomiser and main jet. But I didn’t find nothing…dealer (imho) doesn’t want to help me

When I come back I try to fit a Mikuni TMx.

I didn’t start with for these two tips:

- Fuel inlet is on right near to silent block

- Fuel blow has an little eye on right side that bumping on silent block (i hope to expalin right)

Just remove Delly and try to fit TMX.

Without fuel blow works good



I removed the eye from fuel blow, works fine. The inlet fuel hose is in a right position, no trouble with silent block.

I clean carb, change jetting and needle (57 needle- 295 main): mikuni seems work fine.

Next post the second trouble.

The second problem (from last stop 15 years ago): all lights doesn’t work.

First step: we replaced the Regulator. No good

We check flywheel and stator plate



Here the problem.



We reweld the wire and checked all components. All works good and fine.

Yesterday i finished

The exhaust bracket works fine. No bumping or scratching on sidepanel.
