how many SM,s have been produced? Also is the pipe a one off. It may be the pipe that's more obvious an easy to identify?

Hope you get some good news buddy

Karma is a bitch........I hope one day that they are broken down at the side
of the road and a bunch of rally going scooterists show up and stop to see
if they can help and one of the scooterists is knowleagble about this thread
and the penny drops..... every one should have the engine number in their
cell phone so a quick check can be done and retribution exacted swiftly.....
these people need to be caught and locked up.... good luck with spreading
the word .....very sorry for your loss. G.

You are right. The pipe is considerably fatter than a normal expansion. So wide that they have only what i can describe as a purpose made dent in the wide section that sits next to the chaincase to stop it hitting. The exhaust will only fit on another sm and there are small numbers only.

Again, thanks to all for your support.

The series 2 has been returned.........yep, strange as it sounds it turned up at the top of my garden when I got up this morning.
Small amount of damage but its back.

The super Monza engine is still missing so please keep your eyes and ears open.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Watched the 'shares' climb on the Scooterotica Facebook page, the post we made for this were 'seen' by 23,000+ people. Amongst ours, and the MANY other forum and FB posts, shares and likes.......I'd really like to think that the online community helped to get this scooter back to its owner. Maybe the the forums and FB pages do have their uses! Lol ;)

Good news, glad you've got that back, must have been awful explaining to the guy it belonged to what had happened. Really hope the motor shows up too.

Police been any use?
