Indian crank webs are very strongwith a very tight big end pin and do not twist as easily as some "race" cranks its worth getting a new rod kit fitted with quality bearing

Agree and changing the crank isn't that hard, you're 50% of the way there now and can still be done with engine in frame

Also whilst trying to turn the flywheel with a screwdriver it jammed and one of the cooling ins snapped off DOH! Will this affect balancing too much? Or should it need replacing?

As said you can get the crank split and conrod/bearing replaced. Have this in my 225 ,SIL webs & a RB conrod, been very good, http://www.afrayspeed.co.uk/index.php?p ... buteID=CON or a jap rod, but at least with this it'll be remain standard dimensions with no need for packer plates etc.

Regarding your flywheel you could use it as is but for me I'd rather know they're all there doing their job, I've found these to be good, a little less stress on the crank and not overly lightened & welded centre boss. http://www.torbaylambretta.co.uk/Mid_We ... 23797.aspx

There's a guy local who says drop the engine and take it round. He'll strip the crankshaft out look at what needs replacing but also suggests replacing the seals and main bearings too, just to be on the safe side.

Make sure you ask how long it will take him to do it..... .....and if he names a month ask him what year....

Which is the very reason I'm not using Soley Scooters.
I have emailed AF Rayspeed to let them know what has happened. I'm not expecting much but I think the should be told.

I hopw they respond in some way even if just to acknowledge your time to send the email or even to offer to fix it and not charge you the labour
re the bearings and seals both sides plus a decent seal kit should cost you no more than £40 itmight be worth geting the barrel matched to the transfere ports and both manifolds matched as well and maybe check the clutch sprocket doesnt have to much rock in it and that the gearbox is shimmed corectly the squish on the last gp 200 I worked on was over 2.4 mm good luck with the rebuild

No reply, as yet, from AF Rayspeed. I've taken the engine out and am dropping it off at a local bike mechanic's to have the damage assessed and then repaired.
